Part 1: Esther and the
Prophetic Sound in the Nations Today
The earth is groaning and at the same time,
there is a cry for fresh visitation and impartation that is
resounding throughout the nations. We have looked at the book of
Esther before, but I want to revisit it because I feel it's a
prophetic sound that is going out into the nations right now. It is
also a prophetic sound that is global and international, as God
highlights the book of Esther.
I asked the Lord, "What is the fresh
revelation that You have for this book that would stir hearts?" He
began to show me many things that I will share over the course of
the next couple weeks in this article.
What is so fascinating is that Esther was
one of the last books to be canonized in the Bible because the Name
of God is not used in it. The two books that had the most
controversy in being put into the Word of God were Song of Solomon
and Esther.
However, the Lord is
highlighting both of these books in this end-time age!
It is amazing! May the Lord make a highway in the
Spirit so that your hearts can be set on fire as we talk about this
important book of the Bible, as it applies today.
My heart is that this won't just be a
teaching, but that it will be full of revelation and impartation
that will stir your heart to be radical gatekeepers in intercession
and moving in the things of the Lord!
What I love about the book of Esther is that
it is so a book for today – where we are right now! We all know the
history of Esther when the Jews were taken into captivity in Babylon
for seventy years. Babylon was then taken over by Persia.
Modern Persia today is Iran and Iraq, so you
can see how it parallels with what is happening in today's history.
Most of the time, when we talk about the book of Esther, we really
move into typology.
We often say that the Persian King
represents the Lord and have prophetic symbolism for the entire
book, but what I felt the Lord wanted me to share about is the
history of the book of Esther. I feel He wants me to put her in her
historic dilemma because there was so much courage this woman had to
have to go through what she did.
I also feel that the book of Esther speaks
of the generational anointing that takes place between Mordecai and
Esther. The Lord is calling forth the generations to work together.
This is a book of prophetic intercession.
What is interesting to me is how this book
is so beautifully crafted. I just love the way this book was put
together! There are actually twenty feasts in the book of Esther.
There are only forty-two feasts all together in all of the Old
Testament, so almost half of the feasts in the Old Testament are
literally in the book of Esther.
You have ten feasts, and then in the very
middle of those feasts, are two fasts. Then you have ten more
feasts. We want to look at the dynamics of how powerful prayer and
fasting literally reversed the antichrist spirit that came to
genocide the Jews at that time.
We are dealing with warfare on a global
level. The Lord is calling for
the Mordecai's and the Esther's to begin to pray as gatekeepers.
This book of Esther is very strategic for the very hour
we find ourselves in right
now.
As we know, the book opens up with a pagan
feast. This feast took place for one hundred and eighty days. What
was the Persian King doing? He wanted to wine and dine all of the
lesser kings and lords, and in that six month period of time, he was
gathering them to war against the nation of Greece.
This was a pagan feast that was taking
place. This Persian King was the wealthiest ruler with 127 provinces
that were the richest and most powerful provinces in the known world
at that time.
In the beginning of the book we have a pagan
feast, but at the end of the book we have another feast – Purim -
which was a covenant feast to the Lord God for the Jews for all
generations.
As you pray about how you can be a radical
history-changer for the Lord, consider these CDsto help you dive

intercession:
