Knowing the Times and the Seasons

Jeremiah 23:16, 18, 22 - This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD… but which of them has stood in the council of the LORD to see or to hear his word? Who has listened and heard his word ... but if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.’
Since 9-11 we are dealing with the fear that at any moment another city in America, or maybe our city, could have limited nuclear or biological or chemical warfare. Do you ever wonder what buses are safe for your children to ride, which malls to shop at, which airplanes to take or even if it’s safe to open your mail? It’s essential that we hear God in these perilous times.
In addition to terrorism, there is renewed fear of financial shaking, a stock market collapse, unemployment, fuel shortages and the terrible concerns of seeing our sons and daughters on the front lines of a raging war. It is feasible that in the next decade America could move into martial law, one world government, one world religion, and one world financial systems. We might trade our personal and national freedoms for global peace as the fear of evil alliances and the anti-Christ loom in the future.
When another city in America is attacked - and it surely will be - great fear will sweep our nation again. It’s no longer business as usual and we are moving into a season of war. It will be the best of times and the worst of times as we move closer to the end of time. Judgments are coming to the nations as the Lord shakes everything that hinders love for Him. It will be the greatest harvest of souls, accompanied with signs and wonders, yet it will be the greatest time of catastrophic bloodshed and loss.
Beloved, it is not enough to just be on the prophetic emails lists, to regurgitate other prophet’s words, and to be an echo – not a voice. Rather than just relying on gleaning information from newspapers, God wants you to be able to turn to Him to know what is going on in the world! We must be a people who stand in the counsels of the Lord, who know the hour and the season that we live in, and prophecy the true word of the Lord!
Prayer: Lord, make me an Isacaar prophet who would know the hour and the seasons that we live in! I don’t want to have to read a newspaper to know what is going on, I want to hear You, know You, and declare Your heart to Your people.
