A Critical Hour for Master Potter
Well, friends, it has been quite a ride these past few months in Southern California. NEVER in my 30 years of ministry have I experienced the level of spiritual warfare that I have experienced in the short time I have been here. The Lord has not released me to go into much detail concerning the current crisis in which I find myself. I apologize for this in advance and hope to be able to share more about my situation in the coming months.
Moral Failure within the Church
I am no longer with the church that sponsored me to come to California. Within months of coming here, substantial moral failure was uncovered within the church and shortly thereafter, the building was closed down and I released the California-based staff that was supplied by the church. I found out that many basic functions of the ministry were totally neglected over the past several months. I am sorry if any of you have been adversely affected in any way by this.
Moving Forward
The Lord is slowly bringing in a new team. We are literally at ground zero rebuilding the foundations. The Master Potter office is now in my living and dining rooms, but all systems are up and running. Living in the midst of a war zone definitely creates community as we all roll up our sleeves and rebuild together.
Prayer – The War is On!
First, I am asking for your prayers for Master Potter Ministries in this crucial hour. I need the Lord to give me wisdom and an understanding of my next assignment. The warfare is intense. We are asking our partners and friends to be open to fasting in whatever way the Lord might lead. Rarely have I asked people to fast in addition to praying, but please be open. Finances
Second, I am asking for your financial help. As I have explained in previous newsletters, my living expenses in California were meant to be covered by the sponsoring church. Now that this revenue stream no longer exists, I am more than ever reliant on your generosity. Living in California costs 3X more than in Kansas City, not just for me, but for any staff that the Board of Master Potter deems necessary to hire. I am currently in a time of the greatest transition and financial upheaval that I have ever faced.
