As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” – Matthew 24:3-8

In light of the recent natural disasters and heated political climate, it is so essential that we are clearly hearing God’s

voice, so we will not be alarmed by what is happening around us. It is exciting to know that our Lord Jesus is getting ready to return, but so many of our brothers and sisters have still not made the choice to follow Him.  Satan is on the prowl more than ever in an attempt to destroy and claim as many lives for himself. The battle is raging, and we must put up a good fight. How do we do this? By devoting ourselves to an intimate life with God steeped with radical prayer and fasting. 

After doing research on the US Geological Survey site (www.usgs.com), I found that earthquakes have increased fairly dramatically over the last 30 years (since data became readily available). The graph below should help illustrate this occurrence. Additionally, we have had a record year for hurricanes and their intensity.

We can certainly look back over the past year and see the impact of this increase with the tsunami disaster in Asia (killing over 280,000) and the earthquake in Pakistan (killing over 79,000).  Naturally, we have to question, is this God’s judgment being released on our land? We’re moving into a time of global warfare. We know we must seek God’s face with a deeper desire to transform our society. Therefore, I am holding a new
