One of the most exciting adventures of my life is my friendship and intimacy with the Holy Spirit! He has revolutionized my whole walk and relationship with the Lord Jesus!
It is so hard to put into words how I feel about Someone I love so deeply. After I was baptized in the Holy Spirit the Word suddenly became alive and I could feel His tangible Presence in my everyday life. The intimacy and love I had for the Lord began to spill out to others around me. My life became Acts 1:8.
The fact that the Holy Spirit is actually a Person with feelings, emotions, and personality was a real revelation to me. I began to interact and communicate with Him as my closest Friend, Counselor, Comforter, Guide, Teacher, and Revealer of the glorious Man Christ Jesus, the Lover of my soul.
Let me ask you some personal questions about your journey in the Lord. Are you personally acquainted with the Holy Spirit? Do you have power in your life to overcome the things that are displeasing to you and to God? Are you in bondage and cannot get free? Can you hear the Lord’s voice and prompting in everyday life, or do you feel isolated and lonely? Do you see significant results from your prayer life? Are you a carrier of God’s presence with His glory radiating from you, confronting the darkness all around you?
As you know, accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you will ever make. The next crucial decision is to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, which is a baptism of divine impartation and revelation. Matthew 3:11 says, "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire."
When the disciples and all those in the Upper Room met together, "Suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting" (Acts 2:2). They were baptized in the Holy Spirit, and the church was set ablaze—just like the Lord wants your life to be ignited now!
The baptism is for everyone! All 120 people in the Upper Room received the gift of tongues and the courage to be radical and passionate voluntary lovers of Jesus Christ.
Beloved, I can feel the hunger in your heart to have a vibrant walk with the Lord! If you have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and you would like to, then please repeat this prayer out loud, "Come Holy Spirit, and baptize me. I want everything you have for me. My heart cry is for a radical transformation in my walk with you. Consume me, O God, with Your holy fire!"
As you pray this, continue to worship Him and tell Him how much you love Him. Woman of Destiny, I pray that from this moment on you will experience and enjoy all the fullness of the Holy Spirit in your life.
